Sometimes the little things become big things

As the wedding draws closer couples go into panic mode wondering what they could still be missing. What small details may have not yet been addressed. Most couples do not have experience planning weddings prior to their own wedding, so the anxieties are totally understandable. This is why it is so imperative to hire an amazing team of professional vendors to keep you on track. Over the time I’ve had planning and coordinating couples’ days, I’ve gathered a list of commonly forgotten details and items.

Details and accessories for the bride…

Veils and jewlery are the most forgotten items. Make sure you have your veil with your dress and put all your jewelry in a plastic baggie in the bottom of your dress bag. The trick really is, put everything with the dress because it’s a pretty sure fire that you won’t forget that.

Getting ready food and drinks…

Weddings are long days- especially for you and your wedding party. Make sure you eat a decent meal and have plenty to eat and drink while getting ready. Drink more than just champagne (or beer), water is preferred. It’s super easy to get dehydrated on wedding day and if you’re drinking alcohol, that can make you feel really bad by the end of the night.

Speaking of water…

Drinks for cocktail hour. Check your catering contract. You may only have them serving nonalcoholic beverages for dinner and not for cocktail hour or after dinner. Make sure you have plenty of water available for guests.

Where does everything go at the end

So you get all your decor items to your venue, all your attire, and all your gifts to your venue. But how is it all getting home? Couples often don’t think about how everything is leaving the venue at the end of the night. If you and your new spouse are being picked up by a get away car, make sure you have a designated vehicle for your gifts and personal items.

Chairs!

So, you have 180 guests, your venue has 200 chairs- YAY! Except, not so fast. Make sure if your wedding ceremony and reception are in the same place that you have enough chairs for both the reception and ceremony!

Honestly, the best way to ensure you don’t forget details is to hire a wedding coordinator, we remember everything for you :)
